I write here today to celebrate the life of Noe Silva. He passed away a few days ago at the age of 48. He was a special kind of person. Even if you'd never met him before... Let me back up a bit... I can't say that we were the closest bosom chums. I only ever saw him at paintball events or spoke to him to occasionally ask how he was doing or to order something. But even so... even if you had never met him before, he'd talk to you like a brother and made you feel like you'd known each other your whole life. And that is what made him so special. At least to me.

One of my favorite interactions with Noe was a couple or few years ago. My team and I were playing a paintball tournament in Houston. We were doing good. We had just won a point that would send us into finals. We had just won. Noe was talking to a couple of the guys and when I arrived he looked at me and pointed at me and said, "You need to do some drills." He wasn't wrong, though. He was an honest guy.

Noe meant a lot to a lot of people and he is greatly missed. I hope his family finds peace.
